Papakolea Beach(Green Sand Beach, Mahana Beach) on the South Point of the Big Island of Hawaii. It gets its distinctive coloring from the mineral olivine, found in the enclosing cinder cone. Olivine is a mineral which is composed of the semi-precious stone peridot.
